The Secret Cabin is a cosy haven where you can escape from the stresses of every day life and relax to the sound of birdsong and nature. It is a digital detox zone so there’s no TV or WiFi to allow you to fully switch off and unwind.
Lose yourself in a good book by the log-burning stove or reset your batteries whilst strolling along Seacliff Beach, which is only a 5 minute walk away.
Small but perfectly formed
You’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay at the Secret Cabin. It is equipped with a fully fitted kitchen comprising a full-sized oven and grill plus double induction hob and essentials like kettle, toaster and tea and coffee making supplies including locally roasted Steampunk Coffee.
The bespoke double bed has a super comfy Wool Room mattress and feather-free hypoallergenic bedding so you can sure of a good night’s sleep.
Green living
Being as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible is a huge part of the Secret Cabin. We’re proud to stock locally made luxury Laura Thomas Co products in the shower room, all in refillable bottles to reduce single use plastics. The kitchen products are eco-friendly and again refillable.
The kitchen recently underwent a utensil overhaul, replacing all plastic and non-stick products for non-toxic wooden, stainless steel and enamel products. Guest well-being is just as important to us as environmetal well-being.
Dog friendly
The Secret Cabin is surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for long walks with your four-legged best friend. you can add up to 2 dogs to your booking in the “add ons” section. If you’d like any local tips on the best places to visit or local dog-friendly restaurants please just ask, we’re only too happy to help.
We only ask that dogs are kept off the bed and chairs. Mucky paws and white bedding do not mix!
Outdoors
The Secret Cabin garden is kitted out with a tripod BBQ and firepit plus loungers. The garden is sheltered from the northerly winds by the woodland behind and open to the sun on the south side so you can relax in your own little suntrap.
By day you can watch the miriad of garden birds on the feeder and by night listen for the owls hooting in the trees.
If you love star gazing then you’ve come to the right place. We’re blessed with lovely dark skies and have even been treated to the Aurora Borealis.
Little luxuries
We all love a little treat and at the Secret Cabin we like to welcome guests with freshly baked goodies. If you do have any dietary requirements please do let us know when booking in case you need dairy/gluten free.
